things i understand:

  • tagging taylor in posts the first week she joined tumblr when she was following a hoard of fans on a nightly basis
  • joining tumblr because taylor did and you hope to interact with her and explore a new social medium and hopefully make friends with other taylor fans
  • feeling a lil jealous (it’s normal!!) because someone got a package filled with really sweet personalized messages but also feeling happy for said person

things i don’t understand:

  • continuously tagging taylor in a plethora of posts and only posting when she’s online and then getting angry/frustrated because she isn’t noticing you
  • your sole purpose and goal for joining/being on tumblr is to have taylor follow you and/or receive a package from her
  • putting down others and excessively hating on them because they have gotten a taylor follow and/or have been lucky enough to get a package from her (and have posted their gratitude for it!! i mean for real none of these people have been like haha in ur face i got a package suck on thESE nutz)
  • asking people (who may or may not even have a taylor follow….) to reblog+tag tay on your post when u don’t even follow said person or talk to them or have any sort of  relationship whatsoever w them
  • saying you’re going to quit tumblr because taylor isn’t following you……………
  • MAKING DUMBASS “PETITION FOR TAYLOR TO DO THIS FOR INTERNATIONAL FANS” or “PETITION FOR TAYLOR TO SING THE ENTIRE 1989 ALBUM ON TOUR OR I WON’T BUY TICKETS!!” and any other sort of petition asking her to do something that she isn’t obligated to do (which is everything!!! sorry not sorry)

i do understand that i have done some of these things and i do apologize for being an annoying little twat it just seems that the occurrence of these events has increased dramatically since taylor joined tumblr and twitter/facebook fans joined with her… not trying to single y’all out you just need 2 fuckin chill and recognize that there was an entire community of bloggers who didn’t just love taylor but we loved each other and i mean we may or may not have all gotten along harmoniously but nonetheless we still respected and interacted with each other on a daily basis and shared really personal things and felt like we finally got something right because we started to get invited to events that primarily were restricted to facebook/twitter users and when y’all joined our little corner of the internet suddenly became this sort of hostile and unwelcoming place where we all wanted something from taylor and if we didn’t get it well it was a damn injustice and taylor should know about it when reALLY WE ALL NEED TO SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! so that’s what i’m about to do because this post is a mess but i hope u get the point (2 chill the fuck out) thank u
